Kelvin started with a simple idea: make it easy to get a heat pump.

We've talked to dozens of homeowners who all went through the same struggle to upgrade to heat pumps. It's not easy to find a good contractor. There's no pricing transparency. The trade-offs between one option and another aren't clear.

Even if you are highly motivated, you still have to spend dozens of hours collecting quotes, vetting contractors, and having people out to your home.

After wading through dozens of lead generation forms, we thought "there has to be a better way". That's why we started Kelvin.

We're partnering with the best contractors in the Austin area to deliver the easiest and highest quality experience for upgrading to heat pumps.

• No lead-gen. We won't capture your email and sell it to the highest bidder. No spam, scout's honor.
• In-depth evaluations. We don't benefit from selling one model over another. We want to deliver the best outcome for your home, no matter the equipment manufacturer.
• Up-front, transparent pricing. You shouldn't have to get multiple proposals just do know you're being given a fair bid. We show the same prices to everyone, upfront.
• Rebates included. Utilities, state, local, and federal government provide rebates and incentives for heat pumps. We'll do our best to make sure that you get every rebate available.

Who we are

We're Baker and Calvin, two tech entrepreneurs who found it was too hard to install a heat pump.

As an exercise, we built Heat Pumps, Hooray! to help homeowners learn about heat pumps and understand what they would mean for individual homes.

Thousands of people have used the tool, and many of them reached out and asked "okay, now what do I do?". That's where Kelvin Homes comes in.
